Mechanical post-processing
Drilling
Holes, of any geometry – round, elongated, square, hexagonal, etc. – are also machined with cutting speeds, cooling and workpiece restraint fixtures geared to the plastic used.
Benefits: Optimum preparation of threaded and push-to-connect joints, as well as the preparation of drainage holes in accordance with standard specifications (NF P24-301).
Our technology: Automatic drilling machine, double-column CNC milling machine, special machining.
Punching
Punches, dies and workpiece handling are adapted to the specific requirements of the plastic and reflect our comprehensive material expertise and many years of experience.
Benefits: Customized insertion of stamped parts with minimal burrs, distortion-free machining, and reliable mass production.
Our technology: Hydraulic punching press, rotary punching machines, computer-control punching press.
Milling
Tool geometry, machining parameters, and clamping are optimally tailored to the requirements of the profile.
Benefits: Cutting of recesses according to customer specifications with minimal burr.
Our technology: Double-column CNC milling machine.
Sawing
Low-flash cutting of extruded plastic profiles to length; mitre cutting possible.
The rotation, stroke and tooth pitch of the saw blades are optimized for the material. The possible wear is taken into account, for example for sawing of glass-fibre reinforced plastics.
Benefits: Plastic profiles are cut to the desired length with low flash.
Our technology: Pull-push saw, sliding mitre saw.
Deflashing
Precision edge smoothing following sawing, milling and punching.
The extruded products are treated in low-stress processes either manually or with use of a range of machinery, depending upon the specific requirements and properties of the plastic.
Benefits: smooth edges, no debris.
Our technology: Brushing station with brass brushes, portable dry-ice jet.
Hot forming
Hot forming enables the ends of extruded plastic profiles to be widened with a special punch to create a spigot and socket joint.
The challenge lies in adapting the process to the particular thermal conductivity properties of the plastic used, such that only the region to be formed is partially melted.
Benefits: The geometry is formed with high mould fill and without cracking.
Our technology: Moulding tools with integral heating, cooling, clamping and feed.
Additional functions
Adhesive film
Adhesive film protects the surface of extruded profiles during coating.
This process preserves the smooth, high-quality appearance of the profiles and reduces the risk of damage.
Benefits: Surface protection during production, perfect visual appearance, stable process.
Our technology: Integrated mounting tools for various film applications.
Low-emissivity foil
Applied foil reduces radiant heat and optimizes thermally broken systems.
This solution is simple, effective, and compatible with subsequent surface treatments.
Benefits: Emissivity εn = 0.02 (EN ISO 10456), temperature resistance up to 200 °C for 20 minutes, suitable for powder coating or anodization.
Our technology: Integrated mounting tools for various film applications.
RPET foam
Integrated RPET foam improves the Uf value of thermally broken systems without requiring design modifications.
This solution simplifies manufacturing by integrating closed-cell foam directly into the polyamide while remaining fully compatible with coating and anodizing processes.
Benefits: Improved Uf value, no design changes required, reduced assembly time, compatible with coating and anodizing, made from 100% recycled PET, fully recyclable at end of service life.
Our technology: Integrated mounting tools for various foam applications.
Self-adhesive assembly surfaces
Application of self-adhesive elements in accordance with custom requirements.
Like the protective film for surfaces, self-adhesive tape can be applied to the plastic profiles during the extrusion process. The strong adhesive force of the tape enables it to bond without difficulty to a range of surfaces.
Our technology: Automated application function added to the extruder.
Glue wire
Glue wire integration improves the shear strength retention of thermal break profiles during the powder coating process. This process compensates for strength loss and enhances mechanical fixation through additional knurling along the profile head.
Benefits: Reduced loss of shear strength, improved mechanical fixation.
Our technology: Rolling-in machine with special knurling equipment.
Surface treatment
Coating prime
Coating prime improves the adhesion of powder coatings to polyamide insulating strips.
This process ensures more even coating and minimizes blistering while maintaining the low thermal conductivity of the polyamide.
Benefits: Improved surface coating of polyamide, minimized blistering.
Our technology: Particle spray technology.
Adhesion prime
Adhesion primer enables reliable bonding of silicones and sealants to polyamide profiles.
This solution supports structural glazing and other bonded applications without the need for chemical primers.
Benefits: Improved adhesion to polyamide, optimized application of silicones and sealants, excellent bond between adhesive and substrate, no chemical primer necessary.
Our technology: Particle spray technology.
Vacuum blasting
Vacuum blasting roughens the profile surface to improve coating adhesion.
This process ensures even coverage and enhances the visual quality of the final component.
Benefits: High surface quality, optimized paint adhesion for better visual appearance.
Our technology: Vacuum blasting process.
Customization
Labelling
Printing of the plastic surface to custom specifications.
We use proven, low-stress ink-jet and laser printing methods:
Benefits: Durable markings and labelling to extruded plastic products.
Our technology: Ink-jet printers, laser printers.
Transportation & protection
Surface protection
Protection against damage during transport and further processing.
A film can be applied to the profiles at the extrusion stage to protect the surfaces. Alternatively, the customer’s choice of film can be applied manually following extrusion.
Our technology: Extruder with additional function for automated film application.
Optimized shipping
High-quality packaging for safe transport.
The plastic profiles are, for example, vacuum-sealed with aluminium composite film to protect them against damage, soiling and damp during transport and storage. Cardboard packaging, multi-packs, mesh boxes, long pallets, etc. are used.
