This data protection notice applies to the processing of your personal data when applying for a job with us.

2 Purpose and legal basis
We process your data on the basis of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and all other laws relevant to us in terms of data protection.
We store information about our applicants that is necessary for the application process:
- personal and contact details,
- health data,
- social security data,
- application data,
- contract data.
We usually receive this data directly from you. In some cases, we conduct internet search or receive data from former employers.
The data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR. Without the provision of the required data, it is not possible to carry out the application process. In addition, we may also be legally obliged to process personal data. In this case, data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR. If special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 GDPR are processed (e.g., health data), the legal basis is Section 26(3) BDSG or Art. 9(2)(b) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
In principle, personal data of applicants is stored for the duration of the application process and deleted six months after the end of the application process. In exceptional cases, we also store the data for longer if the applicant has consented to this or if statutory retention periods make this necessary.
3 Recipients of personal data
We will only pass on your data to third parties if this should become necessary for the fulfilment of the purpose. Furthermore, data may be transferred to authorities and social security institutions on the basis of legal provisions in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (c) and (e) GDPR. Data may also be transferred to customers and other business partners to the extent necessary for operational purposes.
In various cases we engage processors in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR, who may receive data from us or have access to your data in connection with their service. In this context, data transfers outside the EU may also take place. In doing so, we make sure that there is either an EU adequacy decision for the destination country in question in accordance with Art. 45 GDPR or that we have concluded a contract with the service providers concerned on the basis of the standard data protection clauses in accordance with Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR (https://commission.europa.eu/publications/standard-contractual-clauses-international-transfers_en).

- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR).

- Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR).
- Right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
